3| Angelica Virga: How to Be a Great Coach & the Importance of Group Classes
Today's guest is the newest Iron Maiden, Angelica Virga.
According to StrongFirst, "A man or woman who has completed the challenge is one dangerous individual." At 5'2" and one of the most skilled kettlebell athletes you will find, Angelica is just that. She talks the talk, walks the walk and takes action as she eagerly works to make necessary changes in the health and fitness space.
Not only has she earned level I and level II kettlebell certifications from both of the leading kettlebell organizations, StrongFirst and RKC but she has coached hundreds of people while bringing kettlebell programs to life here at Reload Physical Therapy and Fitness.
Angelica discusses how she went from working in advertising to becoming a strength and conditioning coach and ultimately, Reload's head trainer.
Why does Gel care so much about kettlebell training? You will learn in this episode that the true motive behind Angelica's work is to get more people moving....
"Our lives DEPEND on our society getting fitter," says Gel. As obesity rates sky rocket and more people are inactive and sicker than ever- Angelica has insight to a solution. That solution is to make health and fitness more FUN, effective and accessible with community fitness classes.
...But not the extremist fitness classes that most people are accustomed to. Listen to learn about how Angelica and the Reload team created well-rounded and effective clubs to help contribute a solution to get more people moving and strong.
