For the first time in a long time, I’m starting out a new year without any goals I'm working towards. I decided that I'm going to try something completely different in 2022. The truth is, I set some big, scary, crazy goals in 2021 and I didn't come anywhere close to hitting most of them. Like, I missed the mark big time. And then, I used missing the mark as a reason to beat myself up and I felt like a failure in so many ways. Now, I know I'm not alone here. In fact, only 9% of people actually achieve their New Year's resolutions each year. For most of us (myself included) we enter each year with exciting goals but by February 1 the pursuit of those goals is long gone and we're left feeling discouraged and disappointed in ourselves.
