This week I'm chatting with Ellenie Georgiou from The Low Carb High Fat Lifestyle (@the_lchf_lifestyle)! In this episode, Elle shares her inspiring journey of trying to find answers for her declining health over the years. Elle talks about the start of her health journey, why she initially chose to get breast implants years ago, and how she started to have mysterious symptoms. She shares her experience in the medical system with doctors disregarding her frustrations, how she learned to fight for her own health and stand up to doctors, and how she had to do much of her own research to eventually be able to heal herself. Elle also shares how she discovered she had Hashimoto's, an autoimmune disease, and her eventual discovery that Breast Implant Illness was at the root of her chronic health issues. Elle talks about how a ketogenic diet and burning fat for fuel reduced her inflammation so that she could start healing, and what the process has been like since getting her breast implants removed. She shares exactly how she has been able to put her Hashimoto's into remission, and the importance of addressing all lifestyle factors when it comes to health.
