Michael Salter is an Associate Professor in Criminology at Western Sydney University, Australia and specializes in the study of organized sexual abuse.

In addition to his work on complex trauma, Michael has researched and published widely on violence against women and children.

Michael sits on the Scientific Advisory Committee and the Board of Directors of theInternational Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociationand is an associate editor of Child Abuse Review, the peer-reviewed journal of the British Association for the Study and Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect.
