Deep dives
Introduction of the Tools Page on Podcast Workflows
The host, Joe Casabona, introduces the brand new tools page on Podcast Workflows, which was an idea conceived nearly a year ago. The site initially focused on weekly deep dives into other podcasters' processes and evolved into a platform covering all aspects of podcast workflows. The tools page, Version 1.0, is finally live, featuring tools rated on a scale of one through five with associated pros and cons, providing impartial recommendations for podcasters.
Attributes of Each Tool on the Tools Page
Each tool on the page includes a star rating specific to its category, a list of pros and cons for impartial assessment, and a 'best for' list outlining scenarios where the tool excels. Feedback from users shapes the expansion of categories and attributes on the page, ensuring a diverse and informative selection of tools accessible to podcasters at any stage.
Future Plans for Podcast Workflows Tools Page
Future plans for the tools page include adding more tools to current categories, expanding sections with additional context and links, and creating short form scenarios to help podcasters choose tools effectively. Moving the gift guide to the site, introducing a hardware section, and incorporating feedback to enhance user experience are key priorities for the development of the tools page.
When I came up with the idea for Podcast Workflows — nearly a year ago at CEX 2023 — one of the aspects of the site was to have a “Tools” page — something that could showcase the tools used in the deep dives I was doing.
But I didn’t want to rush it. I wanted to focus on the content and see where the site went. Well, I'm happy to announce that the Tools Guide is finally live!
