The paradox about freedom is that you need to work hard to earn it.

I’ve met many leaders in the technology space over the last three years. But Paul Dorney has been instrumental in my career and my growth, ever since I met him early on in 2021.

He is an Irish Software Engineer who emigrated to the US almost 20 years ago, and made his way up the ranks in different companies and startups of his own.

I have a very hard time keeping up with his work rhythm, and I can’t even try to follow him if we go out for drinks. He will get up early the next morning, but I probably won’t.

Before his tenure at Bosscat, he founded Silbo, a startup in the gig economy space. Under his leadership, it scaled to become the largest gig economy platform for sports officiating in North America.
