Tissium's co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer, Maria Pereira chronicles her journey into medtech and how a plan to mend heart tissue led to the formation of a company. Pereira co-invented Tissium's technology while she was a PhD student at Prof. Jeff Karp’s Laboratories.
