

Episode 80 - The Discovery of Fungal Fragments in the Atmosphere with Dr. Michael Lawler
Dr. Michael Lawler is an experienced chemist and atmospheric scientist that currently works with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Chemical Sciences Laboratory. His interests are in atmospheric aerosol composition and formation processes. He uses unique mass spectrometry-based techniques to measure trace constituents of the atmosphere in order to understand the sources of atmospheric particles and their role in climate and health. He has made scientific contributions in the areas of reactive halogen chemistry, new particle formation, fungal shrapnel in the atmosphere, biological nanoparticles, and marine aerosol formation.
