In this week’s Five Minute Friday, I am talking about hormones and how they affect your body, specifically your skin. Skin is one of the bodies largest organs, and hormones affect skin differently at different ages. You have better skin thickness in your 20s and 30s because of high estrogen levels. As you age and enter menapause, your estrogen levels drop and skin sensitivity increases, as well a decrease in collagen production.
