S1-E3 "Two Interviews for the Price of One" with Joel and Maryellyn Hawbaker

Mae lo'vannen! Welcome and well-met! In this episode, you're in for a treat because my wife joined me behind the microphone! She was kind enough to interview me (so we avoided a Gollum-like situation, with me conversing with myself), and then she really was gracious because she allowed me to interview her (she's a super-introvert, so I'm thrilled she agreed to do this; plus, she NAILED it)! 

We share some of our experiences as bio-parent (me) and stepparent (her) and talked about some of our favorite memories as well as things we've struggled with, looking at differences even within the same household. I apologized for being presumptuous at one point (because I've never been a stepparent), and we also laughed a lot (which is pretty normal for us). This episode followed the pattern that most future episodes will follow in being an interview format, with questions and responses, along with follow-ups and general conversation about the topic at hand. Maryellyn shared some excellent wisdom about being a stepparent, and I am already excited about trying to get her to join me again on a future episode.
