President Trump has said he wants to turn Alcatraz back into a working prison, and he sent Attorney General Pam Bondi and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum on a fact-finding mission to the island. Alcatraz closed in the 60's but gained for housing crime boss Al Capone and other notorious criminals of the 1930s, ’40s, and ’50s.
