Pearl movie fans, get ready! We had the pleasure of having the extremely talented costume designer Malgosia Turzanska on the pod to discuss her incredible work! We get into the nitty gritty of The Green Knight, which has the most breathtaking, intricate costumes, and she talks about the witchy inscriptions she included in the garments, as well as working with interesting vegan leathers. And yes, she’s also behind the costumes in Ti West’s X and Pearl, and tells us all about creating Mia Goth’s iconique, Halloween-ready looks for both. Malgosia also talks about what it’s like having to designer for horror movies when she normally doesn’t watch them, having to set up her “little hot dog stand” to craft a fake peen for X, and so much more.
