Coming to America

In Coming to America, Prince Akeem (Eddie Murphy) decides to venture from his Zamunda palace to New York City’s Queens, with the hope of finding his own queen to marry. This 1988 classic comedy is not only blessed by Murphy’s comedic genius, but also Deborah Landis’s costume mastery. Blaire and Marie fawn over the extravagant fur shawls, gold lace gowns, and oversized scrunchies before the episode goes off the rails and they start talking about aliens, Glenn Danzig, and Blaire’s (new) online shopping habit.
