The two are brought together on the occasion of a major retrospective of Anni Albers’s work, currently on view at Tate Modern, London, to discuss Smith’s new knitwear collection inspired by her textiles. Their shared admiration for the art of Anni and Josef Albers drives an eclectic conversation about abstraction, aesthetics, and the tactile nature of design.
