Fonda Lee's career shift from corporate strategist to writer

Fonda Lee initially pursued a career in corporate strategy, working for Nike after earning an MBA. However, her passion for writing had always been with her since her youth. She finally made the decision to pursue her dream of becoming an author in her early 30s. Fonda dedicated time to take writing classes, attend conferences, and develop a writing practice. After several unsuccessful attempts, she wrote a practice novel that didn't go anywhere, followed by another novel which eventually became her debut. This success encouraged Fonda to continue writing and pursue it full-time.
