In this episode, we speak to Deeps, an up-and-coming music artist who blurs the lines between pop, rock, R'n'B and hip hop.

We explore his background, growing up inspired by his grandfather who was also a musician, getting frustrated learning piano and being forced to read music in school, before discovering his own sound initially through covers and production on his laptop at home. We discuss how he found his passion early on and immersed himself in the world of music by studying at college and building a network, before ultimately releasing his first EP and kickstarting his full-time solo career.

He opens up about historic prejudice towards Asians in the industry, being judged by outsiders for following his dreams in the early days, and how money in music really works. We dive into what's needed to get noticed on social media today, how there are more opportunities but also more competition than ever, and how building the right relationships can be the key to unlocking bigger opportunities and success for the long term.

Another episode here that's slightly against the grain of what our followers are used to, but being a huge music fan myself and genuinely fascinated to learn more about the industry, I think many lessons and insights can be taken from this that are relevant in all areas of entrepreneurship!
