As we approach the end of 2022, it is good to stop and reflect on how the year has evolved and analyze the dynamics that are shaping the future of the football industry, some of which include:

Women’s football finally getting the recognition it deserves, and the question now is how it can unlock the next level of growth.
Sustainability and how football can become a driving force in influencing society to invest more in creating a better planet.
Web3: Crypto, Blockchain, FanTokens, NFTs. What a rollercoaster has it been for the space, right? While at beginning of the year the expectations were through the roof, these last few months have seen the space tremble with the vast amount of scandals, failed initiatives, etc.

But, in the particular case of web3, are there still “reasons to believe”? Is this shakeup a necessary evil to wipe out all of the weak projects? Or was it just “hype” all along?
