Everyone is 17 going on 18 - except Hermione who is already 18 as we join the story in late November 1997. Alternate universe - Voldemort died in 1981, but pureblood's still don't like muggleborns, the prejudice lives on in the older generations. Hermione Granger had excitedly returned with her two best friends - Harry and Ron - to Hogwarts for their final year of education, despite finding out over the summer before their 7th year that she would be Head Girl alongside this year's Head Boy, Slytherin Theodore Nott. While she hasn't really had any problems directly with Theodore, he is friends with Blaise Zabini and Draco Malfoy who have made her life a living hell for the past six year's of their schooling. Why did pureblood's have to be so bloody good looking on the surface, but so horrible underneath? We join Hermione three months in to her 7th year, where she has actually come to realise that the Slytherin's aren't actually that bad after se's been forced to spend time with the the three of them in the Head's dorm, until one evening, something happens that reveals one of her deepest secrets to the last person she wants it to be revealed to.
