Today we're talking to Dr. Scott Atlas, a former White House advisor on COVID policy and author of the new book, "A Plague Upon Our House: My Fight at the Trump White House to Stop COVID from Destroying America." We discuss the disorganized mess that was the American response to COVID from Dr. Atlas' insider perspective and how bureaucracy and politics ended up winning out over science and common sense. Of course Dr. Fauci is largely responsible for this, but there is another figure, Dr. Deborah Birx, who doesn't get as much attention and yet was possibly more instrumental than Fauci in laying the groundwork for the government's insistence on lockdowns, masks, and vaccines. We also provide an update to the information in yesterday's episode about the Biden administration providing crack pipes to drug addicts; Snopes tried to "fact check" this story, but, as usual, they just wound up proving us right.
