The Value of Ancient Scriptures

The Christian scriptures, despite being written by ancient people, should not be dismissed due to chronological snobbery. The age of a work does not determine its value or truth. While more recent works may contain certain types of truth based on advancements in knowledge, the truth sought from scripture is of a religious nature. This area is beyond the scope of natural reason and requires divine revelation. The Bible is the record of God's contact with mankind, supported by arguments for God's existence and the occurrence of miracles, such as the resurrection of Jesus. Other religions lack comparable evidence.
