Understanding Access to God

The access to God for believers today is fundamentally different from that of the Old Testament. In the Old Covenant, interactions with God were mediated through a complex religious system, including priests and sacrifices represented in rituals and teachings. With the establishment of the New Covenant, Jesus serves as the sole intermediary, enabling direct access to God for all believers. This shift emphasizes that individuals can approach God personally without the need for any additional mediators or rituals, which is a significant change from the Old Testament practices that required continuous reminders of sin through sacrifices.
