How to cultivate investment sources
- Stay away from major media, most of it is propaganda or paid-for advertising
- Find independent sources and follow them for a while to get to know their perspective
- Find competing sources (e.g. republican view vs democrat view). This is hard but extremely valuable
- Find people who know how to think
- Challenge your own views on things. Challenge your ego
- Look for outliers or things that don't make sense
