In this episode, I sit down with Skylar Caitlin, a wedding planner and educator out of Houston, Texas. This year Skylar took her first month long Sabbatical. She shares her experience with us and reveals her struggles with burn out and spending time with herself, which really came to the surface during her Sabbatical. Taking time off in our business can be challenging, and sometimes unveils uncomfortable feelings. By unveiling some of these uncomfortable feelings, Skylar shares how she was able to move forward with her business after the Sabbatical in a way that aligned with her core values.

Skylar Caitlin is the Houston Team Director for Chancey Charm Weddings as well as a lover of all things systems & processes. Skylar launched a digital shop in early 2020 focused on giving planners ready-to-use email templates & processes guides that help them streamline mundane work & get back to doing what they love. When she isn’t soul-deep with a fellow creative, you can find her playing sous chef to her husband Matt, or snuggling their Goldendoodle, Ries (pronounced: Reese).
