131. The Benefits of Starting Messy with Monica Lim

This week we are chatting with Monica Lim, a person with an impressive portfolio of projects.

She’s writes, has a YouTube channel, is an ambassador for the note taking app Notion, has been teaching English for a decade, recently moved her family across the world from South Korea to Texas and on top of all of that recently launched her podcast Let’s Get Practical. She’s always so transparent about her process, sharing what she’s learning through entrepreneurship and about her journey with ADHD. 

Monica discusses her entrepreneurship journey from quitting her job, discovering she has ADHD, learning to delegate and sharing the practical tips she’s picked up along the way. 

Monica was so open about her true feelings about leaving the corporate world (twice) and what she found worked better for her the second year. She also shares her journey with ADHD, from starting to suspect she had it, getting diagnosed and how she uses that information to adapt her lifestyle.

We also dive into a strength of Monica’s that we hope to learn from which is to delegate tasks to other people and even an online virtual assistant. She shares what she’s learned after working with so many different people and how she now champions finding and up leveling great assistants.
