Today’s My Thoughts Monday is a review of Emma Beanland’s presentation at FREE-VASPS. Emma is one of the most well versed people in athlete tracking in the world, and has taught many coaches the ins and outs of it, so with that in mind we could talk for a long time about the simplicity and complexity of how she deciphers the data, and the roles of floor and ceiling values, but today I discuss one thing she said. That is the thought that coaches still look at all of these monitoring devices as a means to make athletes do less work, when in realitiy, I feel the goal is the exact opposite.
