Episode notes
Maneuver The Network
- Modern maneuver remains central but you must 'maneuver the network' as well to operate in contested environments.
- Divisions must place capabilities to extend reach and protect the network, not just move forces physically.
Division Responsibility Has Increased
- Recent structural changes shifted capabilities (fires, engineers) from BCTs up to divisions, increasing divisional responsibilities.
- Divisions must now apportion effects, enable mobility and reduce obstacles across multiple brigades.
Train Together Before You Decentralize
- Train baseline staff processes together in person before decentralizing to ensure coherent MDMP under contestation.
- Have division-level authorities prescribe network enclaves and primary/alternate comms so brigades avoid making those technical calls alone.
