She chaired the Botanical Medicine program at National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR for many decades and remains on the faculty. Dr. Stansbury leads ethnobotany field courses in the Andes and Amazon each January, and is the author of 7 herb books, including the Award-Winning 5 volume textbook series, Herbal Formularies for Health Professionals, published by Chelsea Green.
