If God is all-knowing and all-powerful and does not save all, then God is
not all-good. The logic of this statement is hard to avoid, and it exposes
a deep problem which faces Western Christianity. Fortunately, an older and
better theology of universal restoration lies behind what became the
Western Christian tradition. This theology was advocated by prominent early
Christian leaders and it is now enjoying a well deserved revival of
interest. In this theology God is good, and grace saves all.
