E12: Gordon Seabright on how to articulate the value of space for the arts, cultural & creative industries.
Gordon Seabright became Chief Executive of the Creative Land Trust, a new charity tackling the loss of creative workspace for artists and makers in the UK, in April 2020. The CLT is on a mission to secure the future of London’s studios, as without protection, we risk losing this crucial sector and the many benefits it gives us.
Before joining the CLT, Gordon has been leading environmental charities for the past decade, most recently as CEO of the Eden Project, following periods at the helm of the national cycling charity and the Royal Horticultural Society. Gordon is passionate about transformations, turnarounds, and the impact of the arts and the environment on places and communities.
