Dr. Matt Jordan on Integrating Science into Sport

Dr. Matt Jordan, bridges the gap between science and practice. He is a sought after presenter on sport injury prevention, training program design for elite athletes, and creating interdisciplinary high performance practitioner teams.

He holds a PhD in Medical Science and a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology with a specialization in neuromuscular physiology. Matt’s research focuses on neuromuscular adaptations to strength and power training, with a focus on athletes who have suffered traumatic knee injuries.

Over his career, Matt was the personal strength coach to 30 World and Olympic medalists, and has worked with elite athletes in many sports including speed skating, cross country skiing, alpine skiing, snowboarding, biathlon, hockey, football, volleyball and mixed martial arts. Matt has also consulted with professional sport teams in the NHL, NFL, NBA and MLB.
