Cursed Movie: Poltergeist

The film Poltergeist, released in 1982, is believed to be cursed due to various tragedies that occurred after its production. Dominique Dunne, who portrayed the teenage daughter in the movie, was murdered by her boyfriend shortly after its release. Her father, Dominick Dunne, a crime writer for Vanity Fair, hired a hitman in an attempt to seek revenge. Another cast member, Will Sampson, died following an exorcism he performed on the set. Heather O'Rourke, who played the young girl in the film, died at the age of 12 due to a sudden illness. Other eerie events and deaths have been associated with the Poltergeist series, adding to its alleged curse.
