Brent Raynes has been investigating UFOs and paranormal phenomena for the last 55 years. He is editor of Alternate Perceptions, an online magazine, that recently published its 290th issue. He is author of Visitors From Hidden Realms, On the Edge of Reality, and John A. Keel: The Man, The Myths, and the Ongoing Mysteries. His website is https://www.apmagazine.info/

Here he focuses on Keel’s most famous investigation: the Mothman sightings and related precognitions around Point Pleasant, West Virginia, in the mid-1960s. In 2002, a film was made based on Keel’s book, The Mothman Prophecies. Raynes points out that the actual investigation was more complex than was revealed in the movie. He describes his own research into this case as well as that of others. In one related, and well-documented, episode, Keel had a lengthy visit from a friend who was deceased. Raynes describes his own efforts to communicate with Keel after Keel’s death in 2009.
