Tara Riggs is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MT #3969) in the State of Florida having graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Tara is a Level 3 AEDP Therapist which is a model that integrates elements of emotional mindfulness and regulation, attachment science, somatic experiencing, and inner child or “parts” work. In addition, she holds Certification as an Emotionally-Focused Therapist and Supervisor specializing in helping couples who disconnect due to communication problems, attachment injuries, codependency, and libido differences. Tara counsels in her private practice, Innerlight Counseling Collective, serves people with unwanted sexual behaviors and low desire through Unwanted with Jay Stringer, facilitates intensive retreats through Omnia Trauma Healing, and is in the process of writing her first book. As a healing healer and fellow sojourner, Tara knows the transformation and wholeness that can come through counseling and considers the space sacred. Tara is married to her husband of 18 years, James, and is the mother of two active and insightful boys, Michael and Kingston. They reside in the suburbs of Pensacola, Florida and enjoy spending their down time at the beach, kayaking the river, camping, and hiking.
