Boom! 💥
Another awesome conversation to share with the HR, People Ops & Culture community today! In this episode I am joined by Heeral Gudka, Founder of EDI consultancy, Convergent 🤘🏻
I have to say, I loved this conversation because it was everything an EDI conversation should be; Challenging, thought provoking, at times brave and for some, maybe even triggering.
These are exactly the sort of open and honest conversations we should be having on the subject of equality, diversity and inclusion.
A lot people switch off or even actively run in the other direction when EDI discussions emerge. Which to be honest, is totally understandable with all of noise, confusion, fear, and often vilification that happens around the subject... but it doesn't need to be that way.
This was a SUPER refreshing conversation with a pragmatic and solution oriented practitioner who is coming at EDI with the intention of enabling meaningful conversation for lasting change.
As a practical takeaway, Heeral also shares the 5 most common challenges organisations face when looking to implement an EDI strategy effectively so you can spot them and start taking action on them too.
This is such an important area of discussion if we are going to genuinely create inclusive workplaces and thriving culture, but it remains a very difficult subject to broach.
Hopefully this conversation gives you some new perspectives and some practical tools and frameworks to experiment with in your own work.
Also, to get you started, there are a ton of Free Playbooks available to download from the Convergent site, go check those out!
As always, I really enjoyed this conversation and I hope that you do too 🤘🏻🎙️
