71. Cannabis and mental health
The United State’s relationship with Cannabis is long and complicated. Designated as a schedule one narcotic by the Federal Government, to state legalization for medical use and adult recreational use—it’s been a mixed message. Cannabis is now used to treat epilepsy, nausea, pain, headaches and insomnia. However, when it comes to your mental health, turning to “something” to treat that episode, may lead to future issues.
If you are in a crisis or think you have an emergency, call your doctor or 911. If you're
considering suicide, call 1-800-273-TALK to speak with a skilled trained counselor.
