She’s strong, she’s ambitious, and she can do anything she puts her mind to. Sounds pretty nice, right? Wrong, actually! Believe it or not, the Wonder Woman myth is hurting us more than helping us. Wonder Woman is perfect; she can do it all, without ever needing to ask for help or assistance, because she’s simply that strong. But real-life women, real-life mothers, entrepreneurs, friends, sisters… they’re not perfect. They’re human beings, and that means they make mistakes, they do things wrong, and most importantly, they need help sometimes. And taking on more responsibilities than they can just to live up to Wonder Woman and be seen as strong and independent is only hurting them.
