Protesting Pediatric Gender Clinics for Medical Malpractice Awareness
Protesters, led by Joey Bright, are engaging in civil disobedience to shed light on medical malpractice issues in pediatric gender clinics. The focus is on peacefully protesting and distributing messages to raise awareness without obstructing access to facilities or using aggressive tactics. With incidents of medical malpractice reminiscent of past scandals, such as the inappropriate use of puberty blockers, protesters aim to expose profit-driven healthcare practices and advocate for informed consent.
Using Visuals and Messaging to Challenge Gender Clinic Practices
Through strategic visuals and messaging, protesters seek to challenge the narrative surrounding pediatric gender clinics. By displaying information on cards and advocating for transparency, they aim to inform passersby about the dangers of gender-affirming procedures in young patients. The use of impactful imagery, like large-scale representations of medical procedures, aims to provoke critical thinking and challenge the normalization of such practices.
Building Community and Empowering Voices through Protest Participation
The protests serve as a platform for community engagement and empowerment, offering individuals the opportunity to actively participate in advocating for change. Designed with specific roles for safety, communication, and documentation, participants are encouraged to take on responsibilities that contribute to the effectiveness of the protests. By fostering leadership and promoting inclusivity, these protests aim to amplify diverse voices and create a lasting impact on challenging harmful practices in pediatric gender clinics.

Challenges of Free Speech and Activism
The podcast delves into the challenges faced in advocating for free speech and activism, particularly regarding controversial topics. It discusses instances of censorship and silencing of dissenting voices, citing examples of online platforms restricting content related to gender issues. The episode underscores the importance of facilitating open dialogue, supporting diverse perspectives, and resisting attempts to suppress differing opinions for constructive discourse and societal progress.
WLRN’s Mer Safina sat down with joey brite on May 23rd, 2021 to record this interview.
Joey brite is the producer of the 13-hour marathon gender-critical conference entitled, Can I Get a Witness that was held in August of 2020. Five hundred people from 10 countries were mostly glued to their screens where presenters followed one-after-the-next as a simultaneous event was occurring in private Discord rooms. Joey could not imagine the types of alliances that would be made that day and the activist projects that were born affecting hundreds of people’s lives. But what it all led to for her was a more concerted effort towards the basics she had learned during her early days during second-wave lesbian feminism: grassroots organizing.
This conversation focuses on her passion for protesting the destruction of the bodies and minds of children and youth through the hugely financed industry of gender ideology that is ripping the fabric of our humanity apart.
