We begin this episode with birthday wishes for Em’s daughter Odie who’s turning 16 on the day this podcast drops, Em also offers up her fave Odie story to celebrate. Then Michael joins us to reveal the most spectacular outfit ever, make sure you check out the proof on the Emsolation Instagram page. Two weeks ago Em accused him of being a gay who had given up when he turned up in a t-shirt and ripped jean shorts to record the podcast. This week he delivered his spiteful farshun clapback using 70’s David Bowie at a variety show appearance, and Lady Gaga in her Kermit outfit as inspo. We follow that with our thoughts on Rihanna’s half time footy concert at the Superbowl. It had more layers than we ever imagined, from pregnancy rumours before she’d officially announced it, to some off tap conspiracy theories that she was ushering in Satan. Turns out Em was on point with her thoughts on what Rihanna was trying to say with her performance too. Michael spent Sunday reducing an audience to tears while reading a speech to his younger self, you’ll hear the entire thing within, plus why Em thinks it’s a really important speech to hear. Finally, it would seem Gen Z would much rather have no sex scenes in their favourite TV series and movies because it makes them feel uncomfortable. Em and Michael aren’t even sure if this is actually a thing, it’s also a safe bet they won’t be joining in the protest rally if it ever does become a thing either. So settle in for all of that, as well as a rather casual admission that naturally inspired the title of this episode, job well done.
