The team utilized a hydrogel to create nanoparticles that mimic natural platelets' mechanics and shape, promoting clotting and healing by binding to fibrin. Synthetic platelets were effective in accelerating healing in animals with severe internal bleeding, requiring fewer doses compared to natural platelets.
