Theology Talk SOSIAY: The Prayer That Echoed Through Generations
This week we focus on 1 Samuel chapter 2, where we find an incredible prayer uttered by Hannah. There are a couple of aspects of this prayer that I love, and they show how the Old Testament conveys the nature of the kingdom of God that Jesus will expound in the New Testament. We also look at the story of the Ark of the Covenant and how it was captured by the Philistines. Finally, we examine the New Testament in the Book of Luke with the story where the Pharisees get upset with Jesus for healing someone on the Sabbath. Then, in Luke chapter 19, we have the story of Zacchaeus, the tax collector.
