Episode notes
Phenomenon Manipulates Percipient Consciousness
- Eric Davis argues consciousness shapes UAP encounters: percipients' religious background can determine whether they see a Virgin Mary or a silver disc.
- He cites historical cases (e.g., Marian apparitions) to show the phenomenon manipulates perception and telepathically conveys messages.
How Eric Davis Ended Up At NIDS In 1996
- Eric Davis joined NIDS in July 1996 after responding to an ad and was quickly integrated into the team working with Hal Puthoff and John Alexander.
- His hiring included phone interviews with Bob Bigelow and on-site orientation in Bigelow's executive suite in Las Vegas.
UAP Requires A Sixfold Holistic Scientific Approach
- Davis and Jacques Vallée classified UAP into six characteristics including physical, anti-physical and psychic, arguing scientific study must include all six.
- Ignoring psychic and antiphysical aspects produces distorted, incomplete scientific conclusions.
