This week on Black on Black Cinema, the crew returns to announce the next film to be reviewed, "A Thousand and One." The film follows unapologetic and fiercely loyal Inez who kidnaps her son Terry from the foster care system. The mother and son set out to reclaim their sense of home, identity, and stability, in a rapidly changing New York City. The film stars Teyana Taylor, Aaron Kingsley Adetola, and Aven Courtney. The random topic this week is on two lists produced by The Root on non-Black and Black celebrities that could be invited to the Black family cookout. We have fun going through the lists but also ask the question as to why this idea is never reversed.
