This week, we celebrate the legacy of poet, children's book author, speaker, teacher and activist Nikki Giovanni who died on December 9th, 2024 at the age of 81. Giovanni's writing and her actions helped make this world a better place for Black people, Queer people, Women, and more. Her strength came forth in her written and spoken words and in the way she chose to live her life.
