We are talking today with Aoife Brodigan, Marketing Director for Huawei Mobile Services in Europe.

To start, Aoife, could you tell us a little about yourself?

1.   Where does Aspiegel fit within Huawei group? [Aspiegel as digital service provider, role in looking after HMS products, subsidiary of Huawei]

2.   Could you explain what is Huawei Mobile Services ecosystem? [growth of AppGallery as third largest app marketplace, share some examples of hms products…]

3.   How do you test consumer ideas and come up with new features for HMS products and digital experiences? [e.g. design thinking, translate ideas from one geo-market to another region, market research]

4.   What are some of the considerations in building an ecosystem for multiple audiences? [e.g. dual marketplace, business vs consumer business models and needs]

5.   How do you balance global digital marketing strategies with localisation needs for Europe? [Glocal approach of thinking globally, acting locally, difference between translating and transcreating, how we comply with privacy laws in Europe]

6.   What kind of programs do you put in place to build business partnerships and engage local suppliers and partners? [Intro to developer programs like HSD, HDG, AppsUp, intro to new business programs like Next Design Awards, Music contests and DIGIX labs]

7.   How do you expect partners will use the DIGIX Lab here in Dublin? [e.g. explain the lab, talk about the kinds of resources available and what developers learn/gain by using it.
