Synopsis: This is a special episode of The Straits Times' video series The Big Story, hosted by Hairianto Diman and Olivia Quay.

In Singapore, the latest phase 2 (heightened alert) period was slated to end on Wednesday (Aug 18), but some rules have been relaxed ahead of this date.

At the last press conference, the Covid-19 task force announced that more restrictions could be further relaxed including larger event sizes and more staff allowed to return to the workplace, if the situation remains under control.

Professor Dale Fisher, a senior consultant at NUH's Division of Infectious Diseases, shares his thoughts on the situation.
