Episode 13: Hiking to get high with Manuel Ehrensperger

With the coveted title of CEO for brands like Swarovski and Chopard, Manuel Ehrensperger reached the pinnacle of corporate success leading global luxury brands.

Despite enjoying all of the perks that come with his prestigious role, he still felt unfulfilled. He knew he could continue on in his career for the next 20 years, however, he also knew that it would crush his soul.

He made a bold choice to leave his high-paying glamorous career and take a break to discover what could be next.

That break lead him to Ibiza where he began to explore the abundant nature during long hikes.

He started to hike everyday, it was his way of finding himself and reconnecting to who he truly is.

Friends started to join him. And then people wanted to hire him.

What started off as his own natural therapy turned into Ibiza Hike Station.

He now leads groups of locals and visitors on breathtaking hikes to discover the hidden gems of the magical island.

These hikes go beyond the ordinary, taking clients along old fishermen's trails 200m above sea level and to secret swimming pools, while also incorporating meditation along the way.

Manuel's philosophy in life is "To go far in life you must go light," and he hopes to promote the benefits of nature hikes and share the beauty of the island with hikers worldwide.

His goal is to encourage more people to live a longer and happier life through hiking and enjoying nature. As he often says to his hikers: "hike to get high".

In our conversation, Manuel shares what it took to leave such a high profile position to follow his true purpose.
