Turns out the founders of AA did NOT create this thinking. It originated many years BC… before the birth of Christ! The ideas used in the Serenity Prayer come from an ancient Greek Philosophy known as Stoicism. Using the tenets of this philosophy, focusing on what you CAN change in your life and NOT paying attention to the things you can’t change, is how to create the life you want.
