On the evening of October 6, 1998, 21-year-old Matthew Shepard was kidnapped by two young men. He was taken to a remote Wyoming prairie where he was tied to a fence, beaten unconscious, and left to die. 25 years later, this new documentary reexamines the crime, the nation's response to it, and what--if anything--we have learned.
