Several weeks ago, I attended an amazing virtual conference on anti-racism called Be About It Live organized by @callmeshivy and @getyourteachon.
There I learned about Dr. Grant’s work on Mindful Discomfort and I’m excited to share it with you today.
We talk about his journey into becoming a clinical psychologist, and we unpack the details of what “mindful discomfort” means in the context of racism and structural racism.
We also talk about black mental health, racial trauma, and what role mindfulness may play as a healing modality to break down oppressive barriers within each of us.
