Big Oil is becoming increasingly enmeshed in election-year politics. Democrats announced new efforts yesterday to highlight what they argue are deceptive practices by oil companies, while presumptive 2024 GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump met with industry executives to solicit donations to his presidential campaign.
